Groups at Mountview

At Mountview, our life as a faith community is supported by small groups who help nurture us spiritually and socially.

Young Adults

Mountview is blessed by a vibrant group of younger adults who meet at 7:30pm every second Monday
to study Scripture, discuss life and the world, pray, chat, laugh, and eat.  The group aims to balance studying Scripture with examining social justice issues, as well as participating in fundraising and volunteering.
The group is not just Mountviewers, as members who moved away are still able to be active with the group, along with other young adults who have been keen to join (who still have their own local church for Sundays).
The group is also frequently known as the "Monday Night (Study) Group"

Inbetweens

Starting in 2005, the "Inbetweens" Group is a social gathering for women and men from their late 40s through to entering their 60s.  15 years later, the group's average age has somehow increased.
Social events are held on an occasional basis, including going to various venues for breakfasts, lunches or dinner nights, to holding games evenings, or attending group bookings to films or local theatre.

Social Justice Group

Mountview's Social Justice Group seeks to put into action Christ's call that Christians identify with and act on behalf of the poor, the marginalised, and the voiceless in our society.  The Social Justice Group is a member of the Combined Churches Social Justice Group in the City of Whitehorse.
