The Uniting Church takes very seriously the risks of COVID-19 and actively strives to provide safe practices for all we do. Like many others, our members include: people of older ages; some with medical conditions; and those who feel vulnerable.
We expect all members to show consideration for others, and this includes staying away if feeling unwell, keeping social distancing, wearing a mask when in tight proximity to others or in higher risk settings.
If you have any COVID / flu symptoms, admission is NOT permitted.
Holy Communion and food/drink hospitality have many hygiene risks. National UCA Assembly is continuing Online Holy Communion guidelines, until next reviewed by the 17th Assembly in 2024.
We remind everyone a healthy goal is to maintain about 1.5m+ space with others who are not of the same household*, and consider 'wearing a mask' if comfortable distancing cannot be maintained.
* household: also includes a "bubble" like very close friend(s), or between intimate friends.
